Stainless sea is a purpose-driven business offering a line of stainless steel utensils for kids.  Our mission is to keep our children AND our oceans healthy.    

Our founder is a doctor and a mom, so the safety and health of her kids is always top of mind.

 

Stainless Sea products are SAFE for your KIDS

While plastic is the most common material used for children’s straws and cutlery, there is a growing concern that chemicals used in plastics can leach into our food and into our bodies.  These chemicals can pose a serious risk to our health, and children may be particularly vulnerable given their developing bodies and higher relative exposures.  As a result of these concerns, the American Academy of Pediatrics has recently recommended using stainless steel or glass as an alternative to plastic at mealtimes.

At Stainless Sea, we’ve chosen to make our products exclusively from high-quality food-grade stainless steel, which is INERT and will NOT leach into your food or body.  It is safe, kid-friendly, non-toxic, durable, and easy to clean.

 

Stainless Sea products are SAFE for the OCEAN

Plastics (and the toxic chemicals that leach from them) are known to cause significant harm to humans, animals and plants all over the planet.  Unfortunately, most plastic ends up in landfills or oceans, and can take hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of years to decompose.  The environmental impact is devastating and long-lasting.  

Our products are made exclusively from stainless steel, which is inert and will NOT leach chemicals into our environment.  Stainless steel is also very durable, will not stain, chip or peel and should last for generations.  Lastly, if necessary, steel can be recycled over and over again without losing its integrity and it requires less energy to recycle, than to make new.

We’ve chosen to make products that are themselves sustainable, recyclable, and eco-friendly, but we have also committed to donating a portion of any profit directly to charities helping to conserve our oceans. 

 

We have two homes: our body and our planet- and Stainless Sea helps protect them both!
